In the grassy fields of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, there is a magical hobbit house, located just an hour’s drive north of Leeds. If you’re a fan of the iconic franchise then this Hobbit hole is for you. You can live like Bilbo and Froddo in this ultimate fantasy house.
Created by Golden Hill Farm owners Carol Hopkinson and Karl Wragg, the holiday home, ‘Potts Corner’, has been designed to match the description from Tolkien’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ books with immense attention to detail.
The hobbit house accommodates up to 6 (human-sized) people, either 4 adults and 2 children or 2 adults and 4 children. It features a fully fitted kitchen and a luxury bathroom. The seating area includes a large dining table next to a working fire. It’s a home Bilbo Baggins would be proud of.

You can enjoy the little luxuries a Hobbit might with the beautiful luxury bathroom complete with roll top bath. Run yourself a little bubble bath and while the hours away. A slow pace of life is what the Shire is all about after all.
Saltburn isn’t far and is home to fantastic days out. It’s home to the UK’s oldest Victorian water-balances cliff tram that takes you down to the last pier remaining in Yorkshire. Enjoy a day on the beach, and maybe some fish & chips before heading back to your Hobbit hole.

Back at your cosy hole, you’ve got all the amenities to chill and cook. All you need to bring are food for cooking and towels. The nearest pub is a pleasant one-mile stroll away, perfect for walking off a good pub lunch and a few ales while taking in the beauty of the countryside.
