The big day is looming, and cupid’s arrow is set to make couples everywhere completely googely eyed for one another. Singletons everywhere, you have our permission to gag at the thought.
But for the lovers, Opentable has ranked the top 50 most romantic restaurants in the UK (as rated by verified users), and two Yorkshire restaurants feature on the list!
As Yorkshirefolk, we’re not the most romantic people in the world, so we’re only mildly surprised that only two restaurants from the region feature.
French restaurant Kendells Bistro is first up, ranked for its romantic atmosphere, likely due to the traditional french decor in red hues. Flickering candles feature throughout, while guests dine on traditional french dishes and wines. Very romantic indeed.
Beverley’s Westwood Restaurant was second from good old Yorkshire, with Opentable users rating it for its excellent food and first class service. The decor isn’t as ‘love is in the air’ as Kendells, however the restaurant sits within a Georgian courthouse, serving fancy dishes such as venison, braised ox cheek and a variety of steaks. Delish.
