The 90s had Oasis vs Blur, whereas the noughties had none other than Busted and Mcfly. Two huge UK pop-punk bands that dominated the charts. Now they’re having the ultimate showdown in a hugely competitive co-headline tour coming 2025.
Both bands had huge hits such as Year 3000, What I Go To School For, Girl With Five Colours In Her Hair and many, many more. They’re set to play their biggest hits across the country including two Yorkshire shows. The first of the 2025 shows in Sheffield Utilita Arean on the 26th of September and the second at Leeds First Direct Arena on the 27th of September.
In case you didn’t know Matt, Charlie, and James make up Busted and Tom, Harry, Danny and Dougie are the one and only McFly. The boys have their competitive juices flowing with Mcfly posting about the tour bad mouth Busted “Busted gate crashed our show (not cool), and challenged us to a VS tour next year. They’re old men now, and we are gonna blow them and their carers off the stage next year. We’ve had a great time celebrating our 21st birthday this week and next year is going to be even better. PS Busted Suck.”
Busted returned in jest writing: “There’s been a lot of talk recently… This is where the talking ends…! We are ready to show who is the better band once and for all. McFly suck and Busted Rock!”
