Enjoy Sunday Roast Cooked By Fire In The North York Moors At This Unique Dining Experience

There are few things more comforting than a Sunday roast, but how about enjoying one cooked over an open fire in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside?

The Lazy T is home to this wholesome and unique dining experience, where guests can escape to the wilderness and enjoy a spectacular Sunday roast cooked over fire in the great outdoors.

Set in the breathtaking North York Moors, the experience is led by chef Katy and offers a completely different take on the traditional Sunday lunch.

Drinks and Canapés by the River

Guests can kick back and relax with drinks and canapés by the river while watching Katy and her team cook up a storm over the fire right before their eyes.

There’s something particularly special about watching your meal slowly come together in the open air, surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Once everything is ready, guests head into a cosy tent to tuck into the stunning feast.

A Sunday Roast Featuring Beef Reared Next Door

There was a choice of meat available at the event, but we both opted for the beef, which had been reared on Katy’s family farm just next door.

Slowly cooked over the fire throughout the morning, the beef was perfectly tender with a delicious smoky flavour that made it the perfect centrepiece for the feast.

Combined with all the comforting elements you would expect from a proper Sunday roast, it was a meal made even more memorable by the setting and the experience itself.

A Perfect Experience for the Changing Seasons

There’s something about this outdoor dining experience that feels perfectly suited to the transitional weather between summer and autumn. You can enjoy the fresh Yorkshire air and beautiful surroundings before retreating to the warmth and comfort of the cosy tent for a hearty meal.

The Lazy T has a small number of events planned throughout September before the experience closes for the year, so anyone hoping to give it a try will want to keep an eye out for the remaining dates. For food lovers looking for something a little different, this is an absolute must-try experience.

A Sunday roast cooked slowly over fire, drinks and canapés by the river and a spectacular setting in the North York Moors – it’s a pretty special way to spend a Sunday in Yorkshire.
