Ohhhh, yes! The news that has made the end of summer that little bit more bearable has arrived. The Great British Bake Off has announced its return with a dramatic teaser for the new season.

Paul Hollywood and the official Bake Off Instagram dropped a tense trailer that showed the famous tent pitched on the grounds of Welford in Newbury that has become iconic to GBBO fans.
Although there has been no announcement of an air date for the popular baking show, it is sure to hit our screens soon. Channel 4 have also started teasing its return in between programmes, getting its viewers hyped for all things delicious such as cakes, cookies and carnage.
The Instagram post read “Loaf is in the air… The Great British Bake Off. Coming Soon.” Paul also dropped a picture of co-hosts, Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding as well as fellow judge Prue Leith promising Bake Off will be back soon.
Bake Off finalist of 2020, Laura Adlington, commented on the official Instagram post saying “Ahhhhhhhh!! Brings back all the memories. So exciting!”.
Also, 2018 winner Rahul Mandal commented on the post, showing his excitement by writing, “I am waiting for this for so long…not only me everyone in the UK as well as everyone across the pond!! Can’t wait! Good luck to all the lovely bakers!” Mandal wrote.
Bake Off is typically filmed in the summer months before landing on our screens in September. Last year the show premiered on the 22nd of September, so it is likely to be a similar time frame (we imagine), so dust of your mixers, or just get down to Cooplands for a range of cakes and enjoy this year’s much-needed series of The Great British Bake Off.
We’ll keep you posted with any news we have for the new series, so keep your eyes peeled.
