Scarborough’s Alpamare Water Park to Reopen Today

Scarborough’s amazing waterpark Alpamere is expected to reopen this week. The park is home to water slides, wave pools, lazy rivers, spas, and a food restaurant; this water wonderland has everything to make some great family memories.

North Yorkshire Council took over the water park and spa back in December after previous owners entered administration and closed down. In May it was announced that Flamingo Land owners would be the new operators of the water park with Gordon Gibb, Flamingo Land’s chief executive and owner, describing it was “an exciting new venture”.

Since then Flamingo Land have been bringing the site back to operational status and Yorkshire Council has confirmed that the site will reopen to the public on today (Wednesday July 24th at 10am) – and will be operated by Flaming Land until November.

The £14m park, located off Burniston Road, opened in 2016 and is as much fun for the adults as it is for the kids. With a fully licensed bar, infinity pool, and amazing spa facilities, it is the perfect day out for all the family.

Alpamare in Scarborough has a gigantic wave pool where you can enjoy diving around in the water if you’re feeling brave. Outside, it has a fantastic warm outdoor garden pool to play in. You can enjoy a four-man tube ride on the fast and furious Snow Storm and Black Run. Or try out the double-tube Olympic Run and the fast-paced twisting Cresta Run.
