The home of Leeds festival, Bramham Park, is set to create some festive fun this winter as the are putting on a festive market on the estate. They’ll be swapping out packed stage for twinkling lights, mulled wines and festive cheer.
Each year the estate holes huge events such as Leeds Festival and Bramham International Horse Trails, and now the historic estate near Wetherby is putting on a series of festive experiences including a Christmas Market.
The Bramham Park Christmas Market will be held on November 14th and 15th and will welcome 100 artisan traders including independent makers and produces of quality artisan products ideal for Christmas gifts and decoration. All this will be set against the backdrop of the house.
The stable yard, visitors will be able to enjoy a selection of local food stands. And, on the 14th November the Yorkshire Rock Choir will perform carols in front of the main house from 12pm to 2pm adding a load more festive cheer.
James Hamilton-Goddard, commercial director at Bramham Park, says: “We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to The Beginning of Christmas at Bramham Park. We are planning a great day out of festive cheer for all the family, filled with a variety of trade stands, music and food. Keep following us on social media as there are more announcements to come.”
If this sounds like a pit of you, early-bird parking is £10 per car until October 31st, and from 1st November it will be £15 per car. Fear not as the actual market itself is free entry.
But, that’s not all. As well as the Christmas Market, in December Bramham Park is launching Christmas House Tours, giving visitors a rare glimpse behind the curtain at the private historic Grade I-listed home. This will be followed by tea, coffee and minced pies in the Old Kitchen.
A highlight is sure to be the 25ft tree in the hall that the family home enjoys each Christmas.
