This Yorkshire Village Was The ‘Hottest’ In The Country Yesterday

Ba, anyone got an ice lolly? It’s been an absolute scorcher this weekend. We spent yesterday basking in the sun at Live at Leeds Festival at Temple Newsham.

We were enjoying the nice warm weather – and only a stone’s throw away in the village of Bramham, West Yorkshire they were enjoying the hottest temperature in the country.

That’s right. The Yorkshire village was the hottest spot in the country on May 27th with temperatures reaching 24.3C, according to The Met Office.

Ice creams are at the ready as it is set to be warm today as well. Not quite as warm as the rest of the bank holiday weekend, but still good enough to get your shorts on.

This weather is the perfect excuse to get out and about this bank holiday and half term – so make sure you check out our top recommendations on what to do this May half term.

Live at Leeds was a great spot. Very family friendly with a variety of bands and artists taking to its stages to entertain the masses.

We enjoyed some great street food from around the world including gyros, pizza and gyozas along with a few bevvies to keep cool in the heat.
