High Street Fisheries has over 100 excellent reviews on TripAdvisor, all who say it’s great value for money.

Up on North Beach going towards Sewerby is the aptly named North Beach Fish and Chips. These are your proper seafront chippy, brilliant for getting sat on a wall and looking out to sea with your carton of deep-fried goodness.

Practise dodging the seagulls or take a walk along the beach and check out the brightly coloured beach huts nearby. Another one situated along the seafront, Brid Bay Fisheries offers up traditional fish & chips that are cooked to perfection. Ideal if you are spending the day on the beach with the family and need to pop up to grab something to eat.

On Bridge Street, Jack’s Chippy is a great place if you’re in town and is just around the corner from the harbour. There are also some seats if you fancy eating in, which could be wise since their portions are gigantic!
