Fish And Chips At 149
On Marton Road, just down the road from Headland’s School. The fish & chips here are of another class. It is pure ecstasy with every bite, believe us. Their philosophy is that you ‘deserve the best possible experience from the moment you walk through the door to the very last bite.’ Using the highest quality ingredients that are locally sourced, they create a fantastic feast of fish & chips. Reviewers generally go mad for the value for money, particularly due to the generous portion sizes. Fish & Chips at 149, 149 Marton Road, Bridlington, YO16 7DJ.
Wards Fish & Chips
Not far from Bridlington Spa, Ward’s Fish & Chips is right across the road from the harbour – perfectly located for a stroll around the seafront. There is a lot of competition in this seaside resort, so coming out with the highest quality food as possible is imperative. And Wards definitely provides, with their batter which is light and fluffy and their chips which are cooked to perfection. One local reviewer went as far as saying “always great fish and chips, we just keep returning to here, we have tried other places but this just beats all the others”. Wards Fish and Chips, 20 Southcliffe Road, Bridlington, YO15 3AS.
High Street Fisheries
Out towards Flamborough Head, on High Street, as it happens – this chippy is perfect if you’re off out with the family to have a walk along the cliffs, or taking the dog out and fancy a little snack after. High Street Fisheries has over 100 excellent reviews on TripAdvisor, all who say it’s is great value for money. The batter has been described as “perfect”, while their portion sizes are often described as “huge”. Sounds good enough for me. High Street Fisheries, High St, Flamborough, Bridlington, YO15 1JS.
North Beach Fish and Chips
Up on North Beach going towards Sewerby is the aptly named North Beach Fish and Chips. These are your proper seafront chippy, brilliant for getting sat on a wall and looking out to sea with your carton of deep-fried goodness. Practise dodging the seagulls or take a walk along the beach and check out the brightly coloured beach huts nearby. Reviews on TripAdvisor suggest they’re “great fish and chips, perfectly cooked” and we agree. Just look at that crispy golden batter! North Beach Fish and Chips, N Marine Dr, Promenade, Bridlington, YO15 2NB.
Overlooking Bridlington Harbour is one of Bridlington’s greats. With friendly service and a great location, it’s one to visit if you’ve come into town to walk along the harbour and take in the views. Their fish and chips are consistently fresh and good value for money. Guests have said lovely things such as “The fish is superb, the batter to die for and the staff always pleasant and very helpful.” Well worth a visit we’d say! Brid Bay Fisheries
Another one situated along the seafront, Brid Bay Fisheries offers up traditional fish & chips that are cooked to perfection. Ideal if you are spending the day on the beach with the family and need to pop up to grab something to eat. Their fish is coated in a gorgeous golden batter and chips crunchy on the outside with a nice, soft fluffy interior. Happy customers say the food is “seriously great value” and “totally delicious”. On Bridge Street, Jack’s Chippy is a great place if you’re in town and is just around the corner from the harbour. There’s also some seats if you fancy eating in, which could be wise since their portions are gigantic! With tonnes of glowing reviews on TripAdvisor, it is definitely up there as one of the best chippies to check out when you visit Bridlington! The ongoing theme with all guests seems to be that they all agree the portions are huge and the chips are proper chunky Yorkshire chips.
