Beverley’s Traditional Victorian Christmas Date Has Been Announced For 2025

Christmas is just around the corner, and we’re getting excited about all the Christmas markets and events set to take place across the country. As East Yorkshire folk, we’re particularly looking forward to Beverley’s Festival of Christmas, which returns this December to kick off the festive season.

Now in its 29th year, the East Yorkshire market town’s much-loved festival will once again transform the whole town centre into a magical winter wonderland. On Sunday, 14th December 2025, from 10am to 4pm, Beverley will be alive with festive cheer as Christmas shoppers hunt for gifts while soaking up a merry day out. From traditional fairground rides to brass bands, the event promises to lift spirits and warm hearts as the colder months draw in.

The UK’s largest single-day Christmas market is gearing up for another spectacular year. If it’s like last year, then you can expect around 120 stalls to take over Saturday Market, Flemingate, North Bar and Wednesday Market. Expect food and drink, festive gifts, homeware, jewellery and much more – all from independent stallholders, making Beverley’s festival a truly unique Yorkshire experience.

Highlights include Santa and his reindeer arriving in Saturday Market from 10am, plus the chance to meet Father Christmas and have a photo taken. North Bar will host a birds of prey display, ice sculptures, live music and face painting, while entertainment, carols, dancing and street performances will keep the atmosphere buzzing throughout the day.

The Beverley Minster Christmas Tree Festival will also return, with the medieval church beautifully decorated with an incredible 125 trees, each creatively adorned by local organisations.

Whether you’re after festive treats, special gifts, or simply want to soak up the magical atmosphere, Beverley’s Festival of Christmas promises something for everyone. With music, dancing, children’s activities and plenty of festive fun, it’s the perfect way to celebrate the season.
