Britain’s Oldest Farming Couple Return For ‘The Yorkshire Vet: At Home With The Greens Tonight

Britain’s oldest farming couple Jean and Steve Green, who shot to fame originally appearing on the Channel 5 series The Yorkshire Vet are back on our screens once again tonight in their own spin-off series which is proving very popular with fans.

Now in its second series, the pair are celebrating their ancestry and farming history in another series The Yorkshire Vet: At Home with the Greens. Tonight is episode two and Jean is getting her first tattoo celebrating her roots, with Peter Wright going along for support.

There’s also action on the farm with some struggles due to the cold weather. Channel 5 favourites Rob and Dave Nicholson at Cannon Hall Farm make a trip over from Barnsley to drop off a care hamper but get roped into helping.

The Yorkshire Vet Facebook post about tonight’s episode reads: “As well as Peter offering to help them more, when word of their struggles reaches the Barnsley boys at Cannon Hall Farm, Rob & Dave head over with a hamper of Yorkshire goodies. And they discover that Jean’s still sharp enough to rope them into doing a bit of manual labour!”

“Meanwhile, Peter’s also helping another charismatic farming friend. If you caught Thursday’s Yorkshire Vet episode, you’ll have seen him and Stephen Short win red rosettes at the Great Yorkshire Show with Stephen’s Hampshire Downs. Now Stephen wants Peter to take some blood samples to identify the best sheep to breed from to produce future champions.”

The episode airs tonight (June 17th) at 9pm tonight on Channel 5. And you can catch up via My5 on the first series and episode one of the second here.
