Dreaming of a staycation under the stars? Then pack your bags, because Camp Katur awaits.
Situated between the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, Camp Kátur is glamping at its finest – and probably one of the most unique stays in Yorkshire.
Swan through their gates and you’ll be greeted with the 360 surrounds of magical woodland – a true breath of fresh air if you’re usually more accustomed to the concrete jungle. And while that’s a great start already, we haven’t even discussed the accommodation yet.
Ranging from teepees and safari tents, to hobbit pods and geodomes, the campsite has something for every camper. But the real star of the show? Their stargazing unidome. Perfect for a couples getaway and hidden between the trees, the dome features a comfy double bed, with its very own decking space for relaxing on an evening. Making the stay as comfortable as possible, guests will stumble upon a log burner, candles, a heater, hot water bottles and even a BBQ and fire pit upon arrival – providing the creature comforts you need for a lovely, isolated getaway.
Lay back in the dome and be treated to stunning sights of the beautiful skies above thanks to the dome’s clear structure, which allows you to stargaze with your loved one all night long. Couldn’t get anymore romantic than that in a Yorkshireman’s eyes. Fairylights create a wonderful ambience for the woodland surrounds, and you can even go one step further with the many candles and lanterns provided.
While guests are already provided with the perfect base to start their break, the camp goes the extra mile with the little extras that provide an added touch of luxury, with breakfast hampers, champagne hampers and more available to purchase directly to your camping pod. And for those in need of a helping hand when it comes to winding down, on site you’ll find a wood burning hot tub and sauna available to rent, with a BBQ pod and clay pizza oven available to use, too, if you fancy taking advantage of the spacious areas away from your cosy abode.
Get your ‘Kum Ba Yah’ on and borrow musical instruments from the communal areas, melt marshmallows over the fire pit or mingle in the communal teepee. You can also take advantage of the various activities taking place across the campsite, with yoga sessions, wine tasting, massage therapy, and even cocktail making classes to take part in.
Feeling relaxed at the thought? Bookings are open now, and you can check out their many accommodation options and book your stay here.
