The Castle Howard Christmas 2024 Experience has become an annual event that we get excited about! This year looks to be as magical as ever. The Castle Howard team revealed the theme for this year’s event, and this year, we’re going down the rabbit hole into Wonderland. The stately home has been transformed into Alice’s Christmas Wonderland.
Inspired by Lewis Carrol’s Through the Looking Glass and Alice in Wonderland, Castle Howard has transformed into a mesmerising space. Get ready to join Alice and the rest of the Wonderland gang as you take a trip down the rabbit hole for this unmissable Christmas event in North Yorkshire.
Expect incredible sets transforming each and every room with visual and sound elements. It’s a wonderland of beauty, and was 11 months in the making for the team With around 30,000 baubles on display, alongside the original sets created especially for the event. A 27-foot Christmas tree steals the show in the Great Hall, while the Mad Hatter and the white rabbit follow you around the 300-year-old house
You can enjoy a Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea hosted by the Hatter themselves! What more could you ask for in a magical Christmas event? And, if adults want a space away from the kids, this year features a new secret dining room for grown-ups, serving Wonderland-themed cocktails and sharing platters.
A whole lot of effort and attention goes into the team at Castle Howard’s Christmas wonderlands, which are the biggest event in their calendar. The magical event is set to take place from 15th November to 5th January – and will be one not to miss if previous years are anything to go by.
