A Fabulously Festive Christmas Market Has Officially Opened At Chatsworth House

Opening just today, the historic Chatsworth House – which lies just a short drive from Sheffield – has transformed itself into a Christmas wonderland, with a stunning new Christmas market for visitors to potter around.

Perfectly timed to kick off the season now Halloween and Bonfire Night is over, the fabulously festive event sees over 100 stalls take to the decadent courtyard for six weeks only, with tons of fantastic items to browse and buy for the duration of the event.

Running from 6th November-24th December, visitors will stumble upon a huge range of gifts, decorations and festive foodie items during their visit, with twinkling Christmas lights, live music and a fantastic Christmassy atmosphere to accompany the array of local traders that make up the event.

In addition to shopping, guests will also get the opportunity to kick back with a mulled wine or Bavarian beer at one of the market’s numerous outdoor bars, before tucking into delicious street food; including Bavarian sausages, burgers, hot pork rolls, Dutch pancakes and more.

Open seven days a week, the free-to-attend event is open now, and guests can visit from 10am-5.30pm Monday-Thursday, and 10am-6pm Friday-Sunday. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome to attend.

Other Christmas events taking place at Chatsworth House this year include their annual Christmas in the Garden event, where guests can stroll around the beautiful estate and see twinkling lights and illuminations. For the kids, Father Christmas himself will be in attendance, reading wholesome Christmas stories to the children as the season goes on. The house will, of course, also be decorated to the max with lavish Christmas decor, including huge glittering trees and shimmering baubles at every turn.
