Clarkson announced last month that he’d purchased a new pub. And the Diddly Squat Farm owner has delivered a fresh update on his recent purchase. It’s going to be a while until the new pub that’s located just outside Burford in Oxfordshire opens as extensive work is needed.
But, Clarkson posted on update that they were trying some local wines for the new pub with partner Lisa Hogan, and pictured a Yorkshire local. Posting to Instagram, a Little Wolds vineyard wine bottle can be seen, just one of many vineyards in Yorkshire. The caption read: “Tasting English wines for our new pub. There are some very very good ones.”
Little Wolds shared their love for Clarkson’s post commenting on the post: “Some VERY proud farmers here in East Yorkshire! Thankyou @jeremyclarkson1 and Lisa for sharing 🥂 forever grateful”
But, always one to promote his own products with the likes of his Hawkstone beer, Clarkson replied to a fan who wrote: “Have you thought about making Mead using your honey? It’s becoming very popular.”
To which the Clarkson’s Farm star replied: “Already in production!“
In addition to the farming aspect of his business venture, Clarkson also discussed interesting ideas, including “a room I could turn into a clubhouse, which, on wet weekdays, would provide a mental health forum and a free pint for the nation’s farmers,” and “I wanted dogs and families round the fire. And a restaurant where absolutely everything had been grown or reared in Britain.”
One thing we know will be on sale is his pride and joy Hawkstone lager. Clarkson posted an update about new pub two weeks ago writing: “New pub coming along. Only the water, gas, lavatories, staff and electrics to sort and we’ll be ready to go.”
We look forward to watching the developments of the pub, which we are sure Clarkson will use to raise important issues within the sector much like he has done so with farming.
We are all waiting for news on Clarkson’s Farm series 4, but it looks like we’ll be waiting until 2025 for it to be released on Prime Video.
