Easter just got a whole lot merrier! This year’s Easter is going to be a special one with the announcement of the Nation’s favourite Easter time chocolate creating a super-special limited edition beer to celebrate its 50th birthday! Chocolate and beer – sounds like a grand ol’ combination.

Cadbury teamed up with Goose Island to create their Golden Goo-Beer-Lee Creme Stout (see what they did there?). This royal beer sounds so sweet we can’t wait to try it. The kids and the adult inside us are high fiving and getting ready to get stuck into this new Creme Egg beer.
Head Brewer at Goose Island developed the taste through a blend of malted barley, oats, wheat and milk sugar to mirror the rich and creamy texture of the iconic gooey Creme Egg. To get that creamy notes in this celebratory Creme Egg beer they have used cacao nibs and vanilla beans.

It’s a limited-edition run that celebrates the Cadbury Creme egg – which we are sure fans will be getting stuck into as soon as they can. It is a 4.5% Creme Stout that perfectly celebrates the Creme egg’s Golden Goo-Beer-Lee. It’s available from 11am tomorrow – looks like it is a liquid lunch for us!
Raphael Capitani, Brand Manager, Cadbury Creme Egg, added: “We’re excited to announce our collaboration with Goose Island and limited-edition Golden Goo-Beer-Lee Creme Stout that is available now for all Cadbury Creme Egg lovers to try. We have always celebrated the unique and wonderful ways of enjoying a Cadbury Creme Egg and with this launch we are taking EATertainment to a whole new level. We can’t wait for people to try our very first beer and raise a glass to five delicious decades of Cadbury Creme Egg!”
Andrew Walton, Head Brewer at Goose Island UK said: “With the Golden Goo-Beer-Lee Creme egg beer we knew that we would be reaching a wide range of people with different levels of experience with craft beer! We wanted to make sure that for whoever tried this beer, it would be unique and delicious. The tasty flavours of the stout complement the iconic Cadbury Creme Egg; we wanted to big up the chocolate and creaminess of the beer while keeping it super drinkable.”
If this sounds like the drink for you, get yours here – and have a merry Easter. How will you drink yours?
