There’s nothing like kicking back and enjoying the great outdoors with our dogs, connecting with nature in a way that’s just not possible in our suburban day-to-day lives. Whether it’s chilling in a hot tub while listening to the birds tweet, or relaxing by a fire pit as the sun sets, we’ve rounded up the best dog friendly glamping sites in Yorkshire, so you can get the best of the great outdoors and those creature comforts on your next trip.
1. Catgill Farm, Bolton Abbey

Set within the stunning Bolton Abbey estate, Catgill Farm offers one of the best dog friendly glamping experiences in Yorkshire, boasting an array of stunning pods overlooking the views.
It’s the perfect spot to escape whatever the weather, thanks to its stunning outdoor space with a firepit-come-pizza oven, wood-fired hot tub and slightly sheltered seating area, which, to be honest, is so inviting, you’d most likely happily sit there in the rain (we did!).
Inside each pod, guests are treated to cosy interiors, including double beds, sofas, TVs and kitchenettes, with an on-site pizza pop-up and a small shop. The walks nearby are unbeatable, with the entire Bolton Abbey escape on the doorstep to explore, alongside southern Yorkshire Dales highlights including Appletreewick and the stunning Nidderdale National Landscape.
Pooches are very welcome here, with dedicated dog-friendly accommodation complete with cosy blankets, treats, water bowls, and leash tethers.

2. Rest and Wild, Yorkshire Dales

A gorgeous, off-grid experience on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, Rest and Wild allows visitors to reconnect with nature, with huge feature windows framing the rural views of each and every cabin.
Rustic, cottage-like interiors offer a fresh, luxury finish at Rest and Wild, and while they’re stunning places to unwind with a book, the outdoor spaces make it all the more special. Cook breakfast on the open fire pit, take a bath in the great outdoors, or simply sit and stare at the views towards the Dales.
Whatever the weather, you’ll really just want to be bored here. Dog in tow, of course.

3. Riverdale, West Tanfield

Located on the banks of the River Ure, right on the edge of Nidderdale, Riverdale is a tranquil dog friendly glamping spot in North Yorkshire, offering beautiful shepherd huts with riverside terraces.
Each terrace is enclosed, with gated steps down to the river (keeping pooch safe from heading down unsupervised!) and boasts lounge seating, dining areas, and even an outdoor bath. Sitting out here and listening to the river trickle by is pure bliss.
On-site, guests can also book Riverdale’s private sauna and plunge experience, which, again, overlooks the river for a tranquil wellness experience.

4. Kip & Nook, Manfield

On the edge of both Yorkshire and Darlington, Kip & Nook brings a slice of the city to the rural countryside.
Home to an array of converted shipping containers, each lodge is brought to life with Scandi-inspired design, helping to connect the outside-in with slick interiors that complement the surrounding nature. Expect large feature windows framing the views, an off-grid ethos and fantastic outside areas.
Pooches can roam the stunning surrounding fields, while humans get to kick back by the fire pit, in the hot tub or the outdoor shower.
Elsewhere on the site, there’s also a fantastic bar and restaurant serving up great cocktails and incredible pizza.

You may be familiar with Baxby Manor thanks to their viral treehouse, but the site is also home to an array of gorgeous glamping Kabinas. Each Kabina beautifully reflects its surroundings, with wooden-clad walls and stunning feature windows around the bed, so guests can take in the beautiful greenery.
They do have some little luxuries, too, including stunning bathrooms with rainfall showers, a hot tub and a fire pit outside, helping guests make the most of the great outdoors.

7. Flamborough Glamping & Vineyard

We may be biased, but we believe that nowhere beats the Yorkshire coast, and Flamborough Glamping & Vineyard is one of the newest and most distinctive stays you’ll come across. And it’s dog friendly!
The site is positioned next to a young vineyard, with unique views over the vines to enjoy. The site is also just a stone’s throw from the coast, too, meaning you can enjoy all that Flamborough and Bridlington have to offer during your stay.
Each pod sleeps up to four people, with cosy interiors, luxury en-suite facilities and a private outdoor seating area.

Part of the gorgeous Swinton Estate, Swinton Bivouac is located just a short drive from the castle, offering a beautiful glamping experience in the form of yurts and tree lodges. The yurts are nestled within a wildflower field, with a proper ‘back to nature’ feel thanks to the rustic decor and finishings.
It’s quite a contrast to their luxury castle offering, however, guests can still enjoy a premium stay with an on-site cafe, cosy beds and interiors in each yurt, a wood-fired hot tub and proper toilets as part of the glamping experience.
We loved how they paired glamping with traditional camping facilities, making us feel at one with our surroundings (which just so happened to include the famous Druid’s Temple).
