The sun may be setting on summer – but we’re not quite finished with this year’s staycation ideas. So to celebrate the arrival of the ‘Indian Summer’ we’ve so kindly been gifted with this month, we’ve rounded up the best glamping spots in Yorkshire to make the most of the warm weather while it lasts.
1. Pinewood Park
Located close to both Scarborough and the Forge Valley Woods, Pinewood Park has a number of luxury glamping options to choose from – depending on how luxury you want to go. Stay in the spacious Ranch Retreat which provides a real roof over your head for the night – complete with a hot tub, BBQ and private terrace area – or stay in an equally unique tipi, wagon or yurt, complete with luxury finishings to help you have the best possible stay (without feeling like you’re out in the sticks camping!). Find out more and book it here.
2. Catgill Farm
We can’t get enough of Catgill Farm here at The Yorkshireman – and once you’ve seen it, you’re sure to understand why. This is a campsite that really knows how to provide the finishing touches to a glamping stay, with stunning timber pods and bell tents on site for guests to choose from. Most tents and pods have access to their very own private hot tub and fire pit, with the whole site based on the famous Bolton Abbey estate. Can’t get any better located than that! Book your stay here.
3. Jolly Days Glamping
Tucked away on the outskirts of York, Jolly Days Glamping offers up unique tents and huts that are perfect for those who want a camping holiday, without roughing it. Experience their huge woodland tents which are complete with comfy kingsize beds, an inside kitchen, BBQ, roll-top bath and bathroom and a wood-burning stove for the colder evenings – or go a little more glam with their fantastic huts. The huts come complete with sofas, comfy kingsize beds, BBQ, a kitchen space and a wood burning stove – providing the necessary comforts to take your camping trip to the next level. Find out more here.
4. Acorn Glade Glamping
Another spot close to the historic city of York, Acorn Glade is home to some pretty impressive Yurts – quirkily decorated providing happy, camping vibes for guests. Each Yurt is complete with a double bed, log burning stove, single ring hob and decking and dining area – with communal amenities close by if nature calls. For those who prefer something a little more ‘home-from-home’, however, the site has a beautiful log cabin which is complete with a kingsize bed, log burning stove, compost toilet, decking and more. Check it out here.

The Private Hill in Malton offers a pretty unique experience – not only providing gorgeous glamping domes, but an Alpaca experience, too. The domes overlook the stunning nearby countryside, with an on-site restaurant (also in a dome) serving afternoon tea, breakfast, and a beautiful three-course dinner. All domes include super comfy beds and sofas that face the view, with wood burning stoves and private en-suite facilities provided. To find out more or book, head here.
