TV presenters Helen Skelton and Dan Walker have announced that they set to team up once more for a new travel series following the success of their Channel 5 show Dan and Helen’s Pennine Adventure. The show aired last year and aw the pair take part in a series of challenges across the beautiful countryside.
The pair announced the news saying that they’d had another travel series comissioned following huge fan support. The first series saw them cycling along Snake Pass in the Peak District, float-tube fishing, plunging into a river and event high-adrenaline activity hydrospeeding.
Sharing the news with a joint statement on Instagram Dan and Helen wrote: “Some lovely news… we are about to start filming a new travel series for @channel5_tv. Watch this space for more details. We’ll let you know when you can watch us wandering around together as soon as we can (champagne optional).”
The previous series was a four-part show that saw them visit plenty of Yorkshire spots, so let’s hope it’s more of the same from two huge Yorkshire advocates.
The news comes after Dan Walker pleaded with fans be vocal if they wanted second series. He said: “Your comments have really been so kind and encouraging throughout the series and I have sent lots of them through to the teams at WAG and Channel 5. We’d love to make a second series somewhere else so make sure you let Channel 5 know if you want another one.”
Now all we need is news of a second series from Reuben Owens: Life in the Dales – and we are golden. Come on Channel 5 make it happen!
