Those in the know will already be enchanted by the beautiful North Yorkshire village that is Hutton-le-Hole – but now, it’s finally getting the recognition it deserves.
Ranking Condé Nast Traveller’s 2022 list of the most beautiful villages in the UK, Hutton-le-Hole was the only Yorkshire village to grace the list, coming in 20th place behind a number of other often-overlooked destinations.

While Yorkshire is packed full of little-known villages oozing with beauty, the travel experts selected Hutton-le-Hole for its ‘trickling’ stream and the sheep that roam freely, citing it as a great place to paddle and have a picnic.
The experts also recommended the village’s tea shops, while specifically mentioning Hutton-le-Hole highlight, The Chocolate Factory.
Other highlights, as recommended by us include The Crown pub and the nearby Old School House – where guests can now enjoy hot drinks and fresh bakes.
Hutton-le-Hole can be found in the South of the North York Moors, sandwiched between popular destinations Helmsley and Pickering.
