Fancy getting stuck into the most Yorkshire afternoon tea that there is on offer? This afternoon tea at York’s newest tearoom, Impossible, comes with crisp, fluffy Yorkshire puddings filled with slices of succulent meat. What more could you want?
The Impossible WonderBar and Tearoom has been met with open arms since they opened earlier this month, and they posted a picture to their Instagram, which displays why. The image shows crisp Yorkshire puds filled with some beautiful cuts of meat. Along with these beauties are some classic afternoon tea mini sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam all served on a tiered woodern platter.
It also comes with a range of mini desserts such as carrot cakes and french fancies, macarons. Impossible aims for their afternoon tea to be traditional with their unique twist, and it does look delightful, that’s for sure.
The afternoon tea ranges in price depending on whether you’d like it with a classic pot of tea or if you fancy some bubbles, you can pay a little extra. We know which one we’d pick!
Impossible York afternoon tea can be found in St Helen’s Square in the city centre and starts at £19.95. If you fancy something a little stronger, they do a range of cocktails, some of which are inspired by the heritage of the building with a nod to Terry’s Chocolate Orange. The cocktail uses local distillery York Gin’s Chocolate orange gin with dark chocolate liqueur and Terry’s chocolate orange for an indulgent treat.
If you’re out for the day with the gals, why not try their pornstar martini or gin cocktail trees, which are ready for the Gram, the Instagram that is? They come served with dry ice and sparklers, perfect for any celebration! This place is definitely up there if you’re looking for something a little more frivalous in York.
