Leeds Festival Has Confirmed It Will Be Going Ahead This Summer

Summer 2021 is going to be a big one! After the governments annoucement this week Reading and Leeds has confirmed that both their event will be going ahead this summer. After months of uncertainty it seems that 2021 might just be the year we’ve all been waiting for. The event which will take place over August Bank Holiday 27th – 29th August.

They took to their official Twitter to make their announcement alongside a video of previous years with the caption “Following the government’s recent announcement, we can’t wait to get back to the fields this summer. Let’s go.”

The news comes as Boris Johnson outlined in his roadmap out of lockdown, the earliest possible date for all lockdown restrictions could be lifted in England is June 21, 2021. This means that large-scale events will be able to go ahead as planned this summer if COVID rates remain low.

The current line-up includes some big names such as Liam Gallagher, Gerry Cinnamon, Charli XCX, Queens of the Stone Age, Stormzy, Lewis Capaldi, Mabel and Post Malone to name but a few. The line-up is far from complete, so keep an eye out for new additions via their website.
