Much-loved over in gloomy Manchester, Solita is crossing over onto Yorkshire soil and opening up a brand new site in Leeds.
Following the recent acquisition of the brand by Hull-based Shoot The Bull, Solita is officially under Yorkshire ownership now, operating under the guys behind Shoot The Bull and The Old House.
While changes are due to take place in the following months, Shoot The Bull already has huge plans to expand the Solita business, with a brand new restaurant planned for Leeds.
The burger joint is the home of the ‘Big Manc’, a gourmet parody of McDonald’s famous Big Mac burger, stacked with four 4 ounce patties, iceberg lettuce, onions, pickles, cheese and ‘Big Manc’ sauce.
If that wasn’t drool-worthy enough for you, they also have their very own Sunday roast burger, a towering beast stacked with two beef patties, roast beef, cabbage and finished off with a Yorkshire pudding on top filled with carrots and a whole lot of gravy. The burger is served with roast potatoes and a dunking pot of gravy, too, making it the perfect alternative for your typical Sunday lunch.
The restaurant currently has two sites in Manchester, in the Northern Quarter and Didsbury, with Shoot The Bull assuring fans that their favourite dishes will be remaining on the menu – great news for Leeds dwellers who are yet to try their American-style grub.
While no specific dates have been confirmed for a Leeds opening, Shoot The Bull took over just this month (February 2020) and have already started making moves with their brand new business venture. More information is expected soon, so check back for updates!
