The First Open Air Performance Of ‘Mamma Mia’ Is Coming To Leeds This Summer

If you love a bit of cheese and are a fan of some classic disco ABBA tunes, you need to prick up your ears now, Mamma Mia is coming to Harewood House in what will be its first time being performed in the open air. Fans will be able to enjoy classic ABBA songs in all their magic in this brilliant stage show coming to Leeds.

The songs feature within the incredible funny tale of a mother, a daughter and a possibility of three dads on a Greek island – who wouldn’t want to see that?

The show will be heading to Harewood house in August this summer and will be the only place to see the show outside of London this year. Playing 23 performances with a strictly limited capacity the tour is sure to be amazing. After a whole year of being unable to perform we are sure that this will be something special for sure.

The show will be touring the UK and internationally to celebrate 22 years since Mamma Mia premiered in London in April 1999. It will eventually over a few years come back and play in Sheffield and Hull as well. Mamma Mia has been performed in front of over 65 million people and is the eighth longest-running show in Broadway history, where it played for 14 years.

Judy Craymer, Creator and Producer of Mamma Mia, said: ‘‘It’s going to be wonderful to experience the original musical literally under the stars in the beautiful grounds of Harewood House.”
