Earlier this year, Peter Kay performed two shows to raise money for Laura Nuttel, who is battling Glioblastoma, a grade four brain cancer. During his show, he teased some exciting news regarding the return of the nation’s favourite duo.

Whilst entertaining audiences in his Q&A performance, the comedian hinted at the return of the caravanning duo, Max and Paddy, from the Phoenix Night spin-off, Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere. Ending back in 2005, the comedian said there were still ideas out there for the pair.
Peter told The Apollo: “I loved making Max And Paddy, it was one of the best times we ever had filmed and we had such a good laugh. We actually wrote two Christmas specials and then we never made them so you never know.”

The Sun reported, Paddy, the other half of the hilarious partnership says: “Peter did a live show a week or so back and he’s thrown it out there. But that’s what he does.
“He makes an appearance once every three or four years, says we’re going to do some Max and Paddy, then no one sees him again. And then every interview I do it’s like, ‘When’s it back?’.
“I’m texting him like, ‘Why have you done that again?’. But if you look at what we’ve already written, you think, ‘That will go down really well’.”
So, stay tuned. The future could hold some Christmassy fun for us all. All we can say is get it done guys! We are desperate to see more for the comedy duo.
