If you don’t feel like cleaning up a sink full of dishes and a kitchen covered in pancake batter this year, then you’re in luck, because Hull has some of the most perfect places to celebrate Pancake Day this year. From American stacks to traditional crepes with all the toppings, we’ve done the legwork for you and rounded up the top spots to eat this Shrove Tuesday.
The Haworth

Celebrating Pancake Day with an amazing deal, The Haworth will serve pancakes for just 25p per cake, with a number of toppings available for just 50p each. Toppings include Nutella, chocolate sauce, maple syrup and bacon – so you can eat til your heart’s content on the cheap! The deal will last for one day only, February 25, and starts at 10am til 10pm. The Haworth, 449 Beverley Road, Hull, HU6 7LD.
Just Desserts and Coffee

Just Desserts and Coffee is one of the best little places to satisfy your sweet tooth. Think elaborately decorated cakes, chocolate fudge cakes and giant cheesecake slabs. Pancakes are stacked high with all the toppings, with mounds of ice cream, whipped cream and sauces. Last year’s menu options included lemon and icing sugar, peanut butter and jam and chocolate sauce with ice cream. I feel full already! Just Desserts and Coffee, 200 Newland Ave, Hull, HU5 2ND.
Caspar

The home of the Breton crepe, Caspar knows a thing or two about good pancakes. Serving both crepes and American-style, choose from toppings such as blueberries, streaky bacon, Kinder Bueno, banoffee and Oreo (to list a few!). The menu is extensive, with both savoury and sweet to choose from this Pancake Day in Hull. Caspar, 21-23 Newland Ave, Hull, HU5 3AG.
Kaspa’s Desserts

It’s crepes galore at Kaspa’s Desserts, making it the perfect destination for those who love a delicious, traditional crepe rather than a thick and fluffy American-style cake. The menu is absolutely massive, with options such as lemon zest, strawberries and cream, caramel and chocolate and banana with strawberry. For those who aren’t that into pancakes, you can also take advantage of their wide range of waffles, cakes and ice cream sundaes too. Kaspa’s Desserts, 6-8 Paragon St, Hull, HU1 3QT.
Frizza Caffe Gelato

Sweet pancakes never looked so good. Frizza Caffe Gelato is a sugary wonderland, and they do not mess around when it comes to desserts. Catering to both crepe and pancake fans, toppings include cookie dough, Oreos, honeycomb and Mars bar. We know, we want them all too. Other menu highlights include their array of waffles, cookie dough and gelato flavours. Yum! Frizza Caffee Gelato, 73 Princes Avenue, Hull, HU5 3AB.
