It might feel a little bit like everything’s going down the shitter at the moment, and you’d be right to feel that way – but that isn’t stopping our local communities from lifting each other up. In times of crisis, Yorkshire folk everywhere are proving we really are the greatest region, with acts of kindness and generosity overshadowing the spread of Coronavirus.

Joining a rapidly growing number of businesses who are utilising their resources for the good of the people, Sheffield’s Proove Pizza has announced that they’ll be kindly donating their authentic Neapolitan pizzas to key workers in the local community, asking their followers to nominate those who deserve it the most.
Donating 15 pizzas daily, the charitable initiative will see Proove deliver the pizzas to one hardworking team each day, taking nominations through their social media for teams from hospitals, GP surgeries, pharmacies and more. Whether it’s your local shop or someone you know who is working extra hard in a key worker role, Proove are counting on us Yorkshiremen and women to shine a light on the key workers risking their health every day to help us.

Announcing on social media, the post reads: “tell us about a team you work in or one that you have had help from. Heroes in your community that you think would love a bunch of pizzas delivered to their workplace – they could be a team on a Hospital Ward or inside a Care Home, the afternoon shift at the Fire Station, the evening shift at the Local Supermarket, your local GP or school!”
The much-loved pizzeria has already begun making the thoughtful donations, and continue to feed the people of Sheffield with contact-free home deliveries with Deliveroo and City Grab.
