Yes, Wine Merchants, House of Townend is on the hunt for applicants for its new position as ‘prosecco taster’ (what a title for the CV). You could spend a month with a glass flute in hand – for research purposes, of course. They launched the new role on the 13th of August to mark National Prosecco Day.
If successful you’ll be able to sample the finest Italian prosecco for nothing – a Yorkshireman’s favourite price. The role is a one-month fixed-term contract and pays a highly competitive rate for a wine tasting experience.
The firm is looking for someone with skills such as endurance, commitment and an exquisite palate (they should see me on a Saturday night). You will give feedback on up to six bottles within a two week period.
The job working with the customer service team and, as well as tasting new products – you will also be helping refine existing ones, so it is an important position
If you think that you could be the one for the role, then head over to the website here and apply. You have until the end of August to apply and the winner will be chosen at random on the 8th of September.
