Bloomin’ love a spa day, and this spot just a stone’s throw from Yorkshire (yes, sometimes we do step out of God’s Own) is one of the best we’ve visited. And we aren’t the only ones who think so, as it has won big at this year’s World Luxury Awards.
Last month, The Spa at Ye Olde Bell in Retford won big at the 2026 awards, taking home five titles, including a global win. The awards in question recognise the world’s finest luxury spas and restaurants, and this stunning spot has scooped up a whole host of them.
The hotel was named a winner for both its spa and dining offerings. It won Best Luxury Countryside Spa in Europe, Best Luxury Spa & Stay in the United Kingdom and Best Luxury Boutique Spa in Northern Europe. Also, the Herb Garden Brasserie was crowned: Best Luxury Spa Restaurant – Global Winner, Best Health & Wellness Cuisine in Northern Europe.
The Spa at Ye Olde Bell is one of the most celebrated wellness destinations on the international stage, and Lizzie Bath, spa director, was very proud of the achievement. She said: “To receive recognition across Europe, the UK and, in the case of our Herb Garden Brasserie, globally, is truly humbling and something we are all incredibly grateful for.
“Being named Boutique Countryside Spa in Northern Europe means so much to us. We are fortunate to have a wonderful team of people who genuinely care about our guests and take great pride in what they do. Every member of the spa team contributes to the experience we create, and it is lovely to see their dedication and hard work recognised in this way.
