Get ready for some sunshine guys and gals! Spring weather is here and for Yorkshire folk that means only one thing, outdoor activities and booze. The hottest day of the year so far is tomorrow, so get making plans as you won’t want to waste the first pit of warmth we’ve felt.
I can already feel my bones starting to thaw out and the winter blues disappear as the sun shines through my window.
According to the Met Office, the UK is getting ready for some ‘very pleasant spring sunshine’ tomorrow, Saturday 19th March. So we’ve got beer gardens and bottomless brunches on the brain for sure.
Some areas of the UK are looking at temperatures up to 18C, the hottest we’ve seen yet for 2022. Highs in the North of England of 13C with 18C expected later next week.
Met Office meteorologist Dan Stroud said “We are likely to see some very pleasant spring sunshine, especially for the London and southeast area, during the course of the Saturday,” he said.
Speaking to The Sun Stroud said: “We’re looking at temperatures of up to 16, 17, and perhaps even a rounded 18C could be possible.”
