Baked fresh daily, Rob Royd’s pork pies are absolutely jam-packed with meat and encased in perfectly golden, hand-crimped pastry. The balance of meat to jelly is spot on, making it easy to see why so many Yorkshire folk consider them among the finest pork pies in the county. Quite simply, no visit here is complete without taking a few home.
Inside the farm shop, you’ll find everything you’d expect from a top-tier Yorkshire destination: farm-fresh fruit and vegetables, a full in-house butchery, deli and bakery, and shelves lined with local produce and Yorkshire-made goodies. It’s a proper treasure trove for food lovers.
Alongside the shop is Rob Royd’s stunning restaurant, which features a gorgeous outdoor terrace amazing olive trees and a striking interior that’s an octagonal dome. The menu champions proper Yorkshire comfort food, from full-on fry-ups to huge burgers, steaks and more. We sampled a couple of their breakfast dishes, which were perfectly portioned, packed with flavour and made using the best local ingredients – hearty, homely food done right.
