The original owners of the popular Skipton farm shop have taken over the Keelham Farm Shop site once more after purchasing it for a substantial £2.2 million. Siblings James and Victoria Robertshaw established the farm shop in 2015 but stepped down as directors in 2019.
Known for serving delicious food and offering local produce, the farm shop is set to reopen early next year under the name Robertshaw’s Farm Shop, adding to its existing location in Thornton, near Bradford. Around 100 jobs are expected to be created, which will be a welcome boost to the local area.
Keelham Farm Shop closed at the end of last year and fell into administration in January 2024. The original owners have now bought the premises from Watling Real Estate, and the shop—known for its great produce—has long been an asset to the area, so its return is likely to be a popular decision.
Mr Cruikshank of Watling Real Estate commented, “We are delighted to have achieved a sale that will retain the property’s original use. There is a lack of similar offerings in the surrounding area, and I’m sure local residents will be pleased to see the property open its doors as a farm shop again.”

The Robertshaws’ statement on their website added: “We are thrilled to announce that we have successfully acquired a new site in Skipton, with plans to open in early 2025. This expansion represents a significant milestone for Robertshaw’s and presents exciting opportunities for growth and development.
“James, along with his family and our fabulous team at Thornton, are working hard to get the new venture up and running. It will open in early 2025 under the name Robertshaw’s Farm Shop. We look forward to sharing more updates as things progress.”
