This Yorkshire Bus Route Named Top 3 Most Eye-Catching Coastal Journeys In The UK

Yorkshire has some fantastic scenery across the county, so it’s no surprise that even its bus routes are getting shout outs. This route across the North York Moors to Whitby has been named the most eye catching in the UK.

Parkdean resorts have done a study which uncovered some of the most scenic bus routes in the UK and found route 840 named as one of the most eye-catching bus routes.

Parkdean resorts asked participants to watch videos from 30 popular UK bus journeys using eye-catching software to discover which routes caught participants eyes the most.

So if you’re looking for a fantastic ride this summer taking in the summer scenery then the 840 Coastliner is the one with people keen to look for themselves as searches for the route soaring by 73%.

The route featured in the top three most eye-catching coastal bus routes in the UK and had a massive gaze count* of 1,064 and a fixation count* of 98.

The 840 Coastliner bus runs from Leeds to Whitby via Tadcaster, Malton, Pickering, Thornton-le-Dale, Goathland and North York Moors.

The route takes in rolling hills, stunning seaside towns and has the best of both countryside and coastal scenes.

The 840 passes through Tadcaster, famous for its breweries, the picturesque city of York and even the market town of Malton, offering plenty of sights to see.

The full journey takes roughly 3-and-a-half hours and runs every day of the week, hourly.

A ride on the 840 luckily falls under the government’s £2 price cap until October, making it a cost-efficient way to get around too!
