B&B owners were stunned when they came across an A-list celebrity whilst walking their dog yesterday. Out in the North York Moors, they came across none other than Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise whilst out walking.
The owners of Pear Tree B&B and Holiday cottages in Pickering was out walking their days when they spotted the movie star at the North York Moors Railway. It is presumed that he is filming the latest instalment in the franchise, Mission Impossible 7.
He can be seen walking from his helicopter over to a black BMW in a field in Pickering wearing a face mask due to COVID regulations of course.
Taking to social media the owners posted: “Shhhh Don’t tell anyone…. We were walking the dogs today and bumped into Tom Cruise!!
“Not only do we love Pickering and our stunning countryside but it was chosen for filming TC’s new film!!”
We can only speculate the Yorkshire station may feature in the new film. Sleepy Yorkshire in a Mission Impossible action film, who’d have thought? They got some photos of the film crew, all in hi-vis jackets filming what looked like a train scene.
Locals had a laugh in the comments with one person writing: “I’m on a mission to see him…. but I think it might be slightly impossible….”. Another person wrote: “Filming in Pickering, must be a new ‘wrong turn’ movie”.
The new Mission Impossible is due to be released in May next year, so keep your eyes out. You may get a chance to see good old Yorkshire in all its glory on the dilver screen.
Yorkshire is very popular with film and TV at the minute. There are lots of shows popping up that are using our beautiful county as their backdrop. A casting agency is currently looking for actors for a movie been shot in the Yorkshire Dales, and Grassington has been taken over by the All Creatures Great And Small team for series 2 of the popular show.
