UK’s Biggest Tractor Fest With RAF Battle of Britain Flypast Takes Place This Weekend In Yorkshire

Looking fot something to do this weekend? Why not take a trip to Newby Hall & Gardens near Ripon to the UK’s largest gathering of vintage and modern tractors, Tractor Fest? This year marks the 20th anniversary of the much-loved event, so it’s not to be missed.

Taking place this weekend, on the 6th and 7th of June, the event is set in 120 acres of parkland and features thousands of vintage tractors, modern tractors, stationary engines, commercial vehicles, cars, lorries, and motorcycles to admire. There will be 3,000 exhibits and over 15,000 visitors across the two days.

This year’s event celebrates Scottish engineering, historic motor rollers, and the 80th anniversary of the Czech Zetor tractor marque. There will also be a special RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast, scheduled for 1:15pm on Saturday and 3:15pm on Sunday, which is sure to be a highlight of the event.

For those who love their tractors, featured exhibits will include a mid-1950s Massey-Harris 744D tractor, a collection of rare sports-ground and road rollers, and a restored Ruston & Hornsby 1HR engine once owned by one of Tractor Fest’s founders.

Kevin Watson, chairman of the Yorkshire Vintage Association (YVA), said: “We’re thrilled to be celebrating 20 years of Tractor Fest, and the enthusiasm just keeps growing. Last year’s event was our biggest yet, and with even more exhibits confirmed for 2026, we’re aiming to raise the bar again.

“We’re grateful for the support of exhibitors, visitors, and our sponsors — Cheffins, Econ Engineering, PV Brockhills of Yorkshire, Friends of Ferguson Heritage, Old Oil & Gas Engine Magazine, and Vintage Engine Enthusiast, which is sponsoring the engine section — who help make Tractor Fest such a standout family weekend.”

Tickets cost £22 for adults and £15 for children, with a family ticket for two adults and two children priced at £65. Children under 4 can enter for free. The festival runs from 10am to 4pm each day.
