Tinder’s answer to Spotify Wrapped is back for another year. For those navigating the dating scene, Tinder’s Chief Marketing Officer explains: “Singles are embracing intentionality in their dating lives—being upfront about what they want and refusing to settle. This shift has driven three standout trends: Loud Looking, Kiss-met, and Nano-ships.
“These trends are all about empowering choice—whether it’s confidently stating your needs with Loud Looking, savouring serendipitous moments with Kiss-mets, or finding meaning in micro-connections through Nano-ships. While last year focused on ‘dating for the plot’ and casual exploration, this year, singles are stepping up, leading with purpose, and making their dating journeys truly their own.”
As part of the annual roundup, Tinder analyzed UK data from user bios, descriptors, and interests between 1st January and 1st October to determine the top 10 sexiest accents. And unless there’s been a seismic shift in the past two months, the Irish accent has taken the crown as the UK’s sexiest accent.
Yorkshire, however, still holds its ground, coming in at a respectable fourth place. Once voted number one, Yorkshire’s distinctive charm remains undeniable. So, if you’re blessed with a bit of Yorkshire slang, let it shine—lasses apparently love it! Start belting out your favourite Arctic Monkeys tracks or quoting iconic Sean Bean lines, and you might just win yourself a lifelong partner.
