Having stayed at both we can say that these are up there with the best in the country. Catgill has a range of offerings from pitches for your tents. On-site, guests can pitch up in the field that overlooks the beautiful rolling hills, with electric and non-electric pitches available for tents and campervans, a small on-site shop and communal essentials. Cat’s Kitchen is also a new arrival at Catgill, offering coffee and pizza without needing to leave the site. Howgill Lodge also owned by the same family made the list, with terraced pitches overlooking the countryside.
Flaxton Meadows also made the list which can be found ideally located between York and the North York Moors, offering the best of the Yorkshire countryside and city life.
The fantastic site offers everything you need for the ideal camping trip, from touring pitches to state-of-the-art washrooms and toilets, a laundrette, an on-site bar, and even a pizzeria. The tranquil site is perfect for tent campers, caravanners, campervans and motorhomes, offering an ideal base for exploring Castle Howard, York, Malton, Scarborough and the North York Moors.
