We love a good list. If anything it helps us make a plan of where to visit in Yorkshire as it is quite a big place. And, with Valentine’s Day around the corner, some Yorkshire men may not be the best at the ol’ romance so this might give a bit of inspiration to those folk on where to take their partner this February. That’s if they aren’t all booked up being four days away and all.
OpenTable has featured nine Yorkshire restaurants in its top 100 romantic restaurants for 2025. So, if you’ve missed these for the 14th, that doesn’t mean you can’t get it booked for some other time in the year. The list is curated using user reviews and scores, so you know that the list isn’t completely random and there has been some thought involved in its making.
One of the venues named, which is a proper great date night spot is Lucia in York, which we’ve visited on countless occasions and had fantastic experiences each time. Located on Swinegate Court, a short walk from The Minster and Shambles, you can either enjoy an al fresco dining experience in its stunning courtyard with lovely heaters or sit inside in its beautifully decorated restaurants. It serves up a range of delicious Italian dishes from fresh pastas to homemade authentic pizzas.
Other’s mentioned in the last was another York venue we highly rate, The Star Inn The City, located on the edge of York’s Museum Gardens, Betty’s in Harrogate, Devoir in Holmfirth, Gino D’Acampo’s in Leeds to name a few.
