9 Yorkshire Restaurants Have Been Named In The Top 100 In The UK

Nine of Yorkshire’s amazing restaurants have been named as some of the best in the UK as part of The Good Food Guide for 2023.

If you’re like us, then you’re always looking for new and exciting restaurants to go to for a romantic meal, or just when you can’t be bothered to cook.

Sometimes you can’t trust the suggestions of family, friend and work mates who swear its the best Italian they’ve ever had. And, it turns out to be slop on a plate.

So lists like these are absolute great as you know that someone who knows what they’re talking about has been and had a taste.

Topping the the list in Yorkshire was The Homestead Kitchen found jus outside Whitby, North Yorkshire. They nestled in the picturesque moorland village of Goathland.

The rankings the top 100 best local restaurants is compiled by rankings following 37,000 public nominations.

They have converted an 18th century farmhouse into a restaurant offering relaxed fine dining, self-contained holiday cottage, and a family home.

The other eight are scattered across Yorkshire with Hull including two options one of which, The Hispanist, we have tried ourselves and have to say it was amazing. They serve up incredible small plates of Spanish cuisine that are out of this world. Located in the hub for great food in Hull, Paragon Arcade, It’s a two thumbs up from The Yorkshireman – that’s for sure.
