We love Hull. It is a great place to visit and as our local city, we might be just a little bit biased. Its old town is iconic and used for several tv shows and films. Known for its sherry, 30 fabulous tapas dishes cooked in a Spanish Josper oven. The open-plan dining area has deep booth seating, banquet -style and tables for differing experiences.

Ambiente is perfect as a romantic date night setting, but also great for family get together, work nights out and any other experience. 6. J. Johnson’s Restaurant & Wine Bar

The name is a homage to the late Jack Johnson, a legendary figure from the Fruit Market in its heyday of Hull’s wholesale fruit and veg trade. A New York Style Deli & Bistro, the decor is a chequered tiled floor and jade green metro-style tiles with copper radiators and an industrial feel.

Opening back in 2018 J Johnson’s wine bar & bistro is one of Hull’s best restaurants serving a range of amazing deli plates downstairs along with a high-quality range of wines, champagnes and spirits along with some great beers on draught. They also do a range of curated cocktails as well.

Cocktails include a Pea and Elderflower Cooler – Stolichnaya vodka and gin muddled with fresh petit pois, cucumber, elderflower and tarragon; and house special J Johnsons Royale – Stolichnaya Vodka and Stolichnaya Vanil shaken with apple juice, salted caramel and topped with Prosecco.
