The North Yorkshire seaside town of Scarborough is set for an exciting weekend full of adrenaline-fueled action as it welcomes all those involved with the armed forces to celebrate all they do for us putting their lives on the line.
The Armed Forces Day is being hosted in Scarborough this year, and we look forward to saying thank you to all the men and women that make up the Armed Forces including serving troops, their families, veterans and cadets.
Taking place on the 29th June at the seaside town’s South Bay, if you look to the skies you’ll so a whole host of vintage aircraft take to the sky including RAF Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4, and the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Spitfire and Hurricane from RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.

The display is set to make up part of the Armed Forces day for 2024 in Scarborough which will see parades, musical performances and other land-based display in the perfect day out for the family to celebrate our armed forces,
There will be the Hawker Hurricane in the BBMF display, which is one of only 12 aircraft of this type left in the world.
Councillor Simon Myers, the North Yorkshire Council’s executive member for culture, arts and housing, said: “Scarborough Armed Forces Day is one of the biggest and most popular annual events in Yorkshire.
“The breath-taking air displays are, for many spectators, the main highlight of the day and this year’s line-up will be no exception.
“The event will be an exciting day out for all the family and an opportunity to celebrate the contribution and sacrifice of the Armed Forces present and past.”
More information about Armed Forces Day 2024 will be announced closer to the date, so keep an eye out!
