The All Creatures Great and Small Christmas special seems a long long time ago now, and we are starting to itch for more Skeldale House content. Our wish has come true as new of the favourite Channel 5 show series 6 filming commencement was announced via the official Instagram today.
That’s right. All our favourite actors are back which means more stories from James Herriot and the gang. Posting alongside a photo of a clapperboard the caption on the ACGAS socials read: “Attention #ACGAS fans. Exciting news – the cast and crew have officially kicked off filming for Season 6 in beautiful Yorkshire today! We can’t wait to return to Darrowby with all of you soon.”

In series 5 we saw James reunited with Helen and the baby after having to return home from RAF training due to a brucellosis diagnosis, which made him unfit to serve. Darrowby was in safe hands with Mrs Hall as a black-out warden. And, there was bittersweet news as fan favourite Tristan returned by Carmody left to take up a position at Imperial College London.

We are unsure what All Creatures Great and Small series six will hold, but we are excited to find out. With filming only just starting, we won’t know a release date for some time. But, if the previous series is anything to go by then we can expect to be back in Darrowby with the gang in autumn.
