The 11th annual Bridlington Kite Festival 2026 is set to dazzle spectators with a spectacular display of some of the world’s largest inflatable kites soaring high above the breathtaking cliffs.
Happening on Saturday, May 16th, and Sunday, May 17th, Sewerby Fields will transform into a vibrant canvas as kites of various shapes, sizes, and hues grace the skies for two exhilarating days.

Brought to you alongside Northern Kite Group, this eagerly anticipated 11th anniversary of the Bridlington Kite Festival sees the return of renowned international experts who bring their expertise to the East Yorkshire coast, captivating thousands of onlookers with awe-inspiring aerial performances.
Bridlington Kite Festival 2026 will see kites that come in all shapes and sizes, from enormous flying frogs to sky-high snakes and large leaping lizards. Dozens of exotic inflatables will fill the sky, adding colour to the cliff tops above the popular seaside resort of Bridlington.
Beyond the mesmerising kite displays, attendees can indulge in a myriad of delights, including delectable food and drink stalls, thrilling fairground rides, enchanting face-painting sessions, and captivating children’s entertainment, ensuring an action-packed and enjoyable experience for the entire family.
There will also be professional demonstrations at the Bridlington Kite Festival for 2026 and you can have a go with kites available for loan during supervised sessions. If that wasn’t enough, there will also be the popular parachuting teddy bear drop sessions.
