10 Boozy Beer Gardens in Hull To Enjoy This Summer

East Yorkshire’s city, Kingston Upon Hull, or ‘ull, has it’s pronounced in Yorkshire has some great bars and has had a makeover since it was City of Culture in 2017. We love to visit the Humber Street area, which feels like been abroad in the summer next to the marina. From cocktails by the Marina to beers in the city centre, we’ve got some of the best beer gardens in Hull for you to visit this summer.

1. Larkin’s Bar

One of the coolest bars in Hull’s famous Newland Avenue Larkin’s Bar is a great place for craft ales and a relaxed atmosphere. Playing out great tunes, Larkin is the best place to enjoy the sunshine with friends and family in Hull this summer.

2. Humber Dock Bar

This cool bar had a big refurb back in 2017 for the City of Culture 2017. It has amazing views of the marina and a large seating area to enjoy with friends. This cosy bar has a nice selection of cask ales as well as a range of some great tipples to get stuck into on the hot summer days.

3. Humber Street Distillery Co

Inspired by happening bars in London and Edinburgh, Humber Street Distillery Co is bringing the cosmopolitan lifestyle to Hull. Set in the cool Fruit Market area, this new bar has a great outside seating area and cocktails that you will be dying to try. If you’re a fan of gin, then you will be

4. Lion & Key

Set in the traditional Old Town of Hull, Lion & Key is an independent pub that offers real ales and ciders. You can enjoy some great food as well. It’s one of our favourite pubs to visit and sitting outside you can soak up the feel of the Old Town architecture.

5. Queens Hotel

The traditional pub on Queens Hotel has a huge beer garden that is crying out for fun & sunshine this summer. The pub from the 1800s still has original features and serves up a refreshing taste of pub life in the city of Hull.

6. Gardeners Arms

Found on Cottingham Road The Gardeners Arms is a great beer garden to enjoy the sunshine this summer. Make sure you get booked in with family and friends to enjoy a few beers next week. We have all definitely earned it.

7. Ye Olde White Harte

Another one of the old pubs in Hull – this particular pub has a great history! As well as a fascinating link to the gunpowder plot, this pub also has a pretty beer garde where you can enjoy a beer or two this summer with friends and family. It is one of our favourite beer gardens in Hull.

8. The Sailmakers Arms

This is another traditional feeling pub in the centre of town, which has a great beer garden that is perfect for the summer sun. It is a brick-lined hangout that serves all the pub grub and pints you’d expect with a huge courtyard beer garden to enjoy a few bevs with mates.

9. Taphouse

This stylish bar is one of Hull’s more cooler offerings along the Fruit Market area of Hull’s Marina. It has almost 40 draught beers as well as other canned, bottled beers as well as wines and spirits on offer. It’s East Yorkshire’s largest brewpub, so not one to miss if you’re out in the centre of Hull for sure.

10. The Piper Bar & Courtyard

This buzzing venue on Newland Avenue offers great cocktails and a chance to take in the sunshine in its outdoor seating area. They always have great deals going on and is one of the cities favourites for students.

11. The Minerva

Another oldie along the Marina, The Minerva has a seating area just outside its doors where you can enjoy some beautiful views of the sqaure as well as The Depp aqaurium in the distance. If you’re looking for a busy and entertaining palce to enjoy some drinks with friends look no further.

12. The Lexington Rooftop Bar & Terrace

Whether you’re looking to treat yourself to afternoon tea or something a little stronger this rooftop bar is giving you all the views of Hull’s amazing skyline. The only entry from Hull, these guys fly the flag for East Yorkshire that’s for sure. What a beautiful sun-trap for a summers day.
