Looking to head over to Hebden Bridge this summer? Why wouldn’t you? It has some fantastic canalside walks and is one of the coolest places in Yorkshire to visit – packed full of art, culture and independents. Afterwards, why not walk it off along the canal or check out our guide to Hebden Bridge for more fun things to do.
1. COIN

Specialising in small plates and charcuterie, COIN is a stunning setting within a former bank – with beautiful lighting and industrial-feeling finishes. The perfect place to catch up with friends or retreat from the inevitable Calderdale rain, the beautiful restaurant specialises in British plates with a European twist.
Everything is beautifully presented, and return visitors can delight in the menu which changes seasonally, with produce reflecting the best available at that time. Paired with natural wines and cocktails, this is a winner for those who love modern dining.

2. The People’s Pizzeria

One of our favourite pizza spots in Yorkshire, The People’s Pizzeria specialises in Neapolitan-style pizza, served within the quaint courtyard at the Old North – a tiny cocktail bar with old wordly decor.
Each pizza is wood-fired in the heart of the courtyard (so you can drool over your pizza while its cooking), and made with slow-rise dough – the Neapolitan way.
Tallying in at less than £10 per person, The People’s Pizzeria is the perfect spot if you want to get stuck into some good grub, and a great place to casually rock up without needing to book. Expect chill vibes, great drinks, and food you likely won’t forget about for a long while.
The People’s Pizzeria, 2 The Courtyard, Bridge Gate, Hebden Bridge, HX7 8EX.

One of the most loved restaurants by locals, Nizza Pizza is home to an all-Italian menu, from pizza and calzone to pasta and salads.
From Italian favourites such as Margherita and even a Naples favourite, Pizza Americana (surprisingly topped with hot dogs and fries, and an actual authentic Italian dish), Nizza Pizza comes highly rated, with even their salads forming a large fanbase. A fantastic spot for family-friendly grub in Hebden Bridge.

Think classic breakfasts and Persian alternatives, alongside mezze platters, paninis with a twist and Persian staples including ash reshteh, jijoo and more.

The first bar of brewery Vocation, Vocation & Co has a great community feel to the place, with a range of their own beers on tap, alongside other local brewers.
For food, guests can expect smashed burgers from Slap & Pickle (who, it’s no secret, we’re big big fans of!), alongside dirty fries and vegan options, too.
Think epic burger stacks smothered in American cheese, bacon, onion rings and BBQ sauce, alongside chicken wings, tenders and fan-favourite mac and cheese bites. This is one of our favourite dog-friendly restaurants in Hebden Bridge, and the perfect stop-off for craft beer lovers.

Everything has a homemade approach to it, putting a stunning twist on pub classics such as Guinness steak pie, lamb rump, the classic beef burger and even fish and chips. Everything feels familiar, but that slight bit elevated, making for a great all-rounder when you’re dining as a group.
