We love nothing better than a good pint in Yorkshire. Whether it be in a buzzing beer garden in the city centre or a quiet country pub nestled in a quaint village. Yorkshire has plenty of both types of pub – that’s for sure. And, not four pubs in Yorkshire which have been named amongst the best in God’s Own Country are going to be competing for the title of the National Pub & Bar of the Year.
94 winners for each part of the country of been announced and now pubs across the length and breadth of the UK will compete to be named number one. The bars are part of the awards’ County Winners list which has seen 94 winners highlighted from across the length and breadth of the UK.
With the UK home to such a range of different pubs, it must be hard to rank the various venues across the length and breadth of the UK. But, if you’re on the hunt for some new boozers to try then these winners across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland need to be added to the list.

Announced yesterday (8th April) were the National Pub and Bar Awards victors of its 2024 edition, with 94 ‘county winners’ across the UK. Those winning pubs will be going on to compete for the regional title at an awards ceremony on June 26th as well as titles such as ‘national pub and bar of the year’ and ‘pub group of the year’.
The East Yorkshire winner is a local of ours, and we can attest that it is a top-notch pub. The Old Star in Kilham is a quaint traditional pub that serves up real ales and proper pub grub. We’re talking about a tasty meal with locally-sourced food next to a warm fire in a pub full of character. Wood beams, old-fashioned trinkets, and more make this place a must-visit.
