Beverley’s Traditional Victorian Christmas Date Has Been Announced For 2024

Christmas is just around the corner, and we are getting excited about all the Christmas markets and events set to take place across the country. As East Yorkshire folk, we are particularly excited about Beverley’s Festival of Christmas, which is set to take place in December, helping to kick off the festive season.

The East Yorkshire market town’s Festival of Christmas is now in its 28th year and will see the whole town centre transformed into a magical winter wonderland, full of Christmas shoppers looking for the perfect gifts whilst enjoying a merry day out. On Sunday, 8th December 2024, 10 am – 4 pm the town will be full of Christmas. From traditional fairground rides to brass bands, the town will become a hive of winter activities, keeping you warm and lifting your spirits as the colder months draw in.

With 120 stalls set to take over the Saturday Market, Flemingate, North Bar, and Wednesday Market, Beverley’s Festival of Christmas 2024 is set to be a must-visit event. The three traditional Victorian Markets will host food and drink, Christmas gifts, homeware, jewellery stalls, and much more. All independent stallholders help make the market a unique Yorkshire experience.

North Bar will feature a Birds of Prey live experience, ice sculptures, face painting, and music. The Saturday Market will host Santa and his reindeer — see them arrive from 10 am. You can even meet Santa and have your photograph taken with him. There’s something going on all over the market town, and it’s going to be hard not to get into the Christmas spirit.

Whether you want to simply soak up the festive atmosphere, sample the treats on offer, or buy Christmas gifts for loved ones, there will be all sorts to enjoy. You can even experience live music, dancing, Christmas carols, and more. Children can also have their faces painted.

The Beverley Minster will once again hold its annual Christmas Tree Festival. The medieval church will be adorned with an unprecedented 125 displays, all creatively decorated by local organisations.

There’s plenty to keep the kids entertained, with face painting, traditional Victorian fairground rides, live entertainment, music, and dancing. Sunday, 8th December 2024, 10 am – 4 pm.
