Bob Mortimer Returns in ‘Last One Laughing’ — Now Streaming on Prime Video

Last On Laughing is returning to Prime Video for a second series after the first UK one was a huge smash – and Bob Mortimer is back as the reigning champion. He’ll have a whole host of new comedians to take on in the laughter-free arena, including another comedian from Yorkshire stepping up to take on the king of comedy in a north-of-England showdown.

Hitting our screens last March, Last One Laughing UK quickly became Prime Video’s biggest comedy success. Helmed by coedy presenting royalty Jimmy Carr, the show is adapted from the Japanese format Documental and locks ten comedians in a room tasked with one simple task. Do. Not. Laugh. Last one standing takes home the crown.

The streaming platform has confirmed that the series will return this month on 19th March with the first three episodes released on that day. This will be followed by episodes four and five on 26th March and then the final episode on 2nd April.

Bob Mortimer is the returning champion with it all to lose, having defeated the likes of Daisy May Cooper, Richard Ayoade, Joe Lycett, Sara Pascoe, Lou Sanders, and more. His showdown with Ayoade is one for the history books, and now in series two he has a whole host of new celebs to conquer.

Among the new line-up is Amy Gledhill, a comedian and actress from Hull, adding another Yorkshire voice to the mix. A relative newcomer compared to Mortimer, Gledhill has quickly become one of the most exciting names on the UK comedy circuit. She won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show in 2024, has appeared on Would I Lie To You?, and is one to watch. And, we’ll always be behind the Yorkshire folk, especially when they’re from East Yorkshire.

Last One Laughing UK will return to Prime Video in early 2026, with Jimmy Carr back as host, joined this time by Roisin Conaty. You can watch the full second series of Last One Laughing on Prime Video here.

The Full Line-Up season two cast includes:

  • Bob Mortimer (returning champion)
  • David Mitchell
  • Diane Morgan
  • Romesh Ranganathan
  • Amy Gledhill
  • Maisie Adam
  • Mel Giedroyc
  • Alan Carr
  • Gbemi Ikumelo
  • Sam Campbell

With a reigning winner returning, multiple comedy heavyweights entering the fray, and Yorkshire talent well represented, series two is shaping up to be even tougher — and funnier — than the first. One thing’s certain: beating Bob Mortimer won’t be easy.
