Christmas is our favourite time of the year for many reasons – but first and foremost, it’s because of the food. After all, it’s the one time of the year that we can scoff chocolate for breakfast and no one can say a thing about it. What’s not to love about that?
And it seems the culinary team at Cannon Hall Farm can get on board with our ethos, too, cooking up a highly creative Christmas menu worthy of any festive foodie.
Launching at the beloved South Yorkshire farm just this week, the festive menu has made its grand return after a one-year hiatus, bringing a ton of seasonal dishes to The White Bull restaurant for the wintertime. The restaurant usually serves up crowd-pleasing sandwiches, burgers, and ‘old school’ bistro dishes, garnering a reputation for fantastic farm-to-fork dishes.
Putting their own twist on classic Christmas dinner items, guests will be able to fill up on huge portions this Christmas, with their Christmas Turkey hanging kebab, in particular, stealing the show.
Consisting of turkey breast, bacon-wraps chipolata sausages and sage and onion stuffing balls, each kebab hangs over a huge plate – which is finished off with a massive Yorkshire pudding filled with roasties, veggies and a pot of homemade gravy. The gravy can be poured through the top of the hanging contraption, where it will then drip down the entire kebab adding tons of extra flavour to the dish.
Elsewhere on the menu, guests will also be able to tuck into plates such as a classic turkey roast, lamb wellington, confit duck and more, with puds such as Christmas Pudding, brandy mince pies, and sticky toffee pudding to finish off with.
Available to book now, the impressive Christmas menu is accompanied by a new family-friendly event on the farm, comprising of an entertaining show for the kids starring Santa himself.
There, kids will be able to enjoy watching Santa and his Elves find the missing key to unlock the magic of Christmas, and even attend a fun workshop where they can meet Santa.
