First-Look Images For BBC Drama ‘Time’ Second Series Featuring Yorkshire’s Jodie Whittaker

BBC have released a first-look image of the second series of the award-winning drama Time, which will feature Yorkshire’s own Jodie Whittaker.

Whittaker, who has just finished her stint as the doctor in Doctor Who is playing the lead along with Tamara Lawrance from Silent Witness and Bella Ramsay from Game of Thrones and The Last of Us.

The second series of the BBC drama Time was once again written by Jimmy McGovern and Helen Black and directed by Andrea Harkin.

The first series featured two powerhouses Stephen Graham and Sean Bean and was met with huge positive reviews so we can’t wait for the latest series.

This series story will tell the story of three more inmates’ through Whittaker and the rest of the gang taking place inside a women’s prison, Carlingford Prison.

The three main cast members will be arriving at the prison at the same time readying themselves for the ever-present threat of violence and more as they do their time.

The new image shows a bleak scene with the three girls backed against a metal fence looking ensure and closed off in their saturated grey prison outfits setting the scene for the new show.

A synopsis for the upcoming three-parter reads: “Arriving at Carlingford Prison on the same day, Kelsey, Orla and Abi are thrown together to face an unfamiliar world.

“But even with the ever-present threat of violence within its walls, they discover that an unexpected sense of community, and a shared understanding, still might be possible.”
